Cornerstone Wrestling - each coach brings a unique perspective, along with many years of wrestling experience to their coaching style.

Coach & Founder - Colorado - Pagosa Springs
Michael Martinez
Received the Medal of Courage from the Colorado Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2016, was a 2003 and 2004 Colorado state champion for Pagosa Springs High School. He won his first state title as a junior despite wrestling an abbreviated schedule because of a compound ankle fracture.

Coach - New Mexico - Bloomfield
Adam Benavidez
New Mexico Representative- Coach Adam Benavidez wrestled for Bloomfield High school where he was a state champion in 1994. He has 33 years of coaching experience. Coach Benavidez has 11 years experience as a head coach with 8 top three finishes in NM. Coach Benavidez has 12 years experience coaching the Olympic styles. He has been part of New Mexico's National Team coaching staff for 8 years. Coach Benavidez is the Northern Director for NMUSA Wrestling and currently coaches the Bloomfield HS girls wrestling team.

Coach - Colorado - Pagosa Springs
Ryan Martinez
A Colorado State Placer. He acquired his degree in Fort Collins where he helped coach the Windsor wrestling club. Ryan is crucial to our staff in that he not only brings 40 years of experience to the sport, but that he also runs all of cornerstone wrestling’s tournaments and camp registrations. Ryan has been surrounded by some of the best athletes/coaches in the nation and he brings that knowledge to the room.

Coach - Colorado - Pagosa Springs
Chandler Mazur
Beat numerous state placers while in high school. He competed for La Tech Wrestling Club for a year while attending college. He competed for Cornerstone Wrestling Club at the US Open (2023) and the US Senior Nationals in (2024). He has also competed in beach wrestling blessing us with his experience in folkstyle, freestyle, Greco roman, and beach wrestling.

Coach - Colorado-Durango
Jeremy Dugan
He grew up in Indiana and became a two-time state placer. He attended Indiana University, where he participated in the club wrestling team prior to transitioning to mixed martial arts (MMA) and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He competed in these disciplines for several years and has dedicated 14 years to coaching.
